The BalatonHelp Plus system provides security for you and your vessel. You can count on immediate professional assistance 24/7, and if you happen to run into trouble, the incurred damages will no longer accumulate additional costs for mitigation.
By using the BalatonHelp application, you can request assistance from our rescue control center at any time throughout the year. The application has been meticulously developed to transmit precise coordinates of your location and contact number to the VMSZ rescue control center with a simple press of the help button on your mobile device. Subsequently, the rescue protocol is initiated: a dispatcher promptly contacts the provided number while simultaneously alerting the crew of the nearest rescue vessel. If the call is not answered, the rescue team sets out immediately based on the received coordinates. If contact is established, the rescue control center, after assessing the situation, dispatches the most suitable rescue unit to the scene.
Our association is equipped with a comprehensive toolset to provide expert assistance in any situation. The professional expertise and experience of our colleagues guarantee that you receive the fastest and most efficient assistance in case of any incidents on Lake Balaton.
For holders of a BalatonHelp Plus contract, registered details in our system eliminate the need for on-site data verification in the event of an accident, saving crucial time in situations where every minute counts.
Emergency towing is also provided free of charge with a valid BalatonHelp Plus contract. Resolution of common issues, such as towing a disabled boat to the harbor, is offered without additional charges. Furthermore, our additional services, such as searching for lost objects in the water, can be availed at a substantial discount of 20-25% compared to standard rates.
In addition to the aforementioned benefits, a BalatonHelp Plus contract entitles you to further discounts within our association. The Water Rescue Service of Hungary and Volunteer Firefighters Brigade (VMSZ) engages in various activities beyond rescue operations. Whether it's event security, water rescue courses, or preventive lectures, you can enjoy these services with significant discounts.
Our offerings are categorized into 7 distinct packages - Mini, Midi, Standard, Extra, Special, Electric, and Charter - based on the size, type, and purpose of the boat.
Package prices vary depending on the boat's size and the duration of the contract. Each package can be contracted for the entire season, spanning from April 1st to October 31st. However, certain packages also allow for monthly or weekly contractual arrangements.
General contracts for routine use do not apply to special events with heightened risks, such as solo, overnight, and record sailing races. Additional packages are available for these events. Lifesaving and assistance are, of course, provided without charge in such cases.
